Brighten up a dull day with some color.
Living here in San Francisco, no one is a stranger to a little bit of rain; however, everybody handles it differently. Some people hide out inside all day, some people jump in puddles, and I used it to take some rainy day photos. The best part about gloomy weather is that the lighting is essentially perfect for fashion shots. The photos capture color and texture a lot better, that's why I decided to liven up my style a bit with some fun plaid, weatherproof jackets, and my favorite pair of Timberland boots.
There's nothing really crazy going on with my outfit other than the fact that I've tried to match the tones of color in my shirt to those in my jacket. I picked up both the jacket and shirt set at H&M for a mere $10 total since the store here in Union Square was moving to a different location. Probably the best deal I've ever gotten on some cool pieces. Although I can't wear them all the time since the jacket is so weather specific, it's still a great investment piece (I call it my P. Diddy jacket). The plaid shirt is a bit more transitional and is great for a lazy day outfit where you can just throw it on and go. I paired the tops with black denim because I thought the color contrast would add to the outfit a bit. The Timberlands are pretty much self-explanatory; I mean, what better weather can you wear them in? Overall, I really love the way the photos, outfit, and environment meshed together to create one great photoshoot. I hope you all feel the same way about it!
