The first part of my new Style Series featuring 2(X)IST.
In my attempts to create a weekly calendar for my blog, I've decided to begin the week with a multi-part style series. Sort of similar to that of other bloggers you may follow, my series will feature 1 - 2 specific items from any given line, label, or designer. This week I'm featuring the brand 2(X)IST.
Yes I know what you're thinking. 2(X)IST is for older men, only sells underwear & t-shirts, & is too specific for you, right? Well, you'd be right to think that about the older image of the brand, but now it's becoming more of a lifestyle label. Sure they still have the underwear, shirts, socks, and other clothing that they're known for, but there has been a sort of shift and they now carry some more stylish lounge-wear.
Lately I've been all about the sort of casual-cool style of joggers, a t-shirt, and a cool jacket to finish out the look. Since I discovered the 2(X)IST Terry Sweatpant, I decided to give them a shot (Like I needed another reason to wear sweatpants). With a slimmer fit through the leg and a nice taper to create a more stylish fit, the Terry Sweatpant does really well in looking great and feeling comfortable. I'm wearing their grey pant, and I've cuffed it to pair with my favorite pair of Vince boots from earlier this fall.
I am a little smaller in the waist than more men, so I did have to pull the pant up higher on my waist, but after a full wash&dry, they shrunk down to a nicer size for my body. Now, I don't advise you fully dry any clothing with harsh heat, as they'll just shrink a ridiculous amount; however, in cases like mine, it's absolutely necessary from de temps en temps. Anyway, I digress.
Overall, the style and cut of the pant made for a really nice complement to a laidback, relaxed, out-n-about sort of vibe. Even though my boyfriend was persistent in saying I looked slouchy, I explained there's a different between lazy & relaxed. In this look, I was definitely relaxed. But don't listen to me! How 'bout you be the judge. Do you think this looks slouchy or casual-cool? Feel free to share in the comments below! #Reason2Xist
