Written by Anthony Villegas, 'Let Us Fly' is a poem about embracing thought and our own realities. We create our own worlds in our minds, and Let Us Fly encourages others to get lost in those worlds.
Written by Anthony in April 2015 -
They say they see nothing,
They say you're pretend,
They call you imaginary,
I call you friend.
Some kids call me ugly,
Others call me strange,
Most don't even know me,
But you know my name.
So imaginary or not, I'll keep on pretending
Because none of those bullies are worth me befriending
And when the day comes,
Shall we ever grow apart,
Always remember you hold a place in my heart.
