SLOBS, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
White on white... How much more dangerous can you get? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's not a great look, but if you're a serial spiller, then this is most definitely is not the look for you. Now, what is it about the white on white that we love so much? Well, let me tell you.
Here in San Francisco, fashion is all about looking and feeling clean, crisp, and cool in terms of fashion. Although there are those people out there who question my style, I don't think there is any question about how well the pairing is here. I've gone ahead and paired the white against and complementary color (a deep blue) and tied the blue in with my vintage Johnston & Murphy loafers. Now, if you look really, really close you'll see that my blazer has a contrasting black lining on the lapel. The contrast falls perfectly inline with this spring's upcoming black & white trend for both men and women (HERE & HERE). The perfect coupling of the sleek black line adds a little bit of edge and a tad of formality to the outfit. Someone even pulled me aside on the street to ask what party I was going to in my "white tuxedo". It made me laugh a little.
Now, if you are truly up for the challenge, I would say you should try your own white on white ensemble sometime soon. You will get noticed, but in a positive way. And remember what I always say... Make a statement.
